Truth be told, I’ve never been to the Dallas Arboretum after living in the area for 13+ years. I snatched up the perfect chance to go when I found out about this “12 Days of Christmas” display at the gardens. It wasn’t too clear what that was really about, but once I arrived it was obvious:
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me…
Don’t for a minute think that we saw everything in order though, cause we went straight to the 12 drummers drumming after the partridge.
We also ventured off the beaten paths to admire the gardens. It was a beautiful setting to take pictures in!
For the most part, the 12 Days of Christmas displays looked fantastic. But I felt a little creeped out by the staring models…
I also wasn’t sure whether the gardens could possibly look good at night when we can’t see the flowers and plants in the dark. I was proved wrong:
We reached an area called the Women’s Gardens that was April’s favorite. Everything really was pristine!
Haha we definitely got a lot of weird looks when we took the photo above. Between me running back and forth from the camera, trying to get us in focus, and making sure that nobody else was in the photo, I’m quite pleased with the result!
…and a partridge in a pear tree.
Thanks for reading, and happy holidays!
