After a morning hike in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, we continued to drive south to our next destination, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. I discovered online that this park had a famous waterfall, McWay Walls. It showed up in nearly every related Google image search! As a result, Jiwon and I were inspired to go see it in person:
Now that we were in the heart of Big Sur, it was a must to visit Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and take a close-up look at California’s infamous redwood trees. No joke, these things were GIGANTIC! I can only imagine how old they are?
By this point, we have finally reached Big Sur territory! After a quick picnic lunch, we explored Andrew Molera State Park. I really liked the trail that we took because it led us through various scenic landscapes and brought us up on a cliff from where we could admire the views. Follow along on our journey:
