2015, what a year! In this time, I graduated college, went on a 30-day tour around Europe, moved back to Dallas, bought my first car, and got my first full-time job. I can’t say I was super thrilled to graduate and to move on to “the real world,” but now that I’m in it, I’m excited to see what 2016 will bring. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite posts from 2015:

1. Cherokee Street

St. Louis Cherokee Street Indian statue sign
Throwback to exploring a cool city (St. Louis) with some great people.

2. London Tea Room

Afternoon Tea Food - London Tea Room St. Louis
Had the coolest brunch/first English tea experience with my home girls. They’re all over the country now, so this brings back good memories!

3. Our Roadside Pit Stops Along Highway 1

Ah, how could I ever forget this epic California senior spring break trip?? Read more here!

4. St. Louis Graffiti Wall

Squeezing in some more St. Louis exploration before I’m gone (for good?!)

5. Laumeier Sculpture Park Trails

Revisiting one of the best sculpture parks I’ve ever been to. Here’s when I went the first time.

6. Journey Up the Swiss Alps

This. This was my favorite thing and place of all the 7 countries I visited in Europe.

7. A Foodie’s Birthday

Cru Food & Wine Scallops
So, so thankful that my BFF is still here with me and I got to celebrate my bday with her!

8. Tacolandia – A Taco Lover’s Paradise

Tacolandia 2015
One of the best $$ I paid this year for UNLIMITED TACOS. Definitely going back!

9. Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls
I knew I wanted to go ever since the Jim & Pam wedding (any The Office fans with me?).

10. A Texan Wildlife Safari

Now this was definitely a first.

These posts highlight some of my favorite memories of the year. It sure was difficult to narrow down to 10, but in looking back I can see the different stages of how I’ve grown over the course of this year. Obviously, life isn’t always sunshine and roses, but I choose to focus on the positive here on the blog. I want to record memories that I’ll look back on with a smile.

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.”

– Walt Whitman

But I’m curious – what’s your opinion on sharing about personal struggles vs. only sharing happy moments on a public blog?

How was your 2015?

Thanks for reading!

P.S. Read last year’s recap here: Top 10 Blog Posts of 2014

  • I’ve loved reading all about your adventures, especially your European trip! Although, who wouldn’t love a road trip on Highway 1, it’s just so beautiful! You still have me drooling over all the tacos you ate at Tacolandia!

    • Thanks Ashley! Oh yes, have you driven on Highway 1 before?

      • Well I technically didn’t drive, I made my husband drive, but we drove down highway 1 from San Fran to Big Sur and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen! I really want to go back!

  • The tea experience sounds like so much fun! I’m a huge fan of cucumber sandwiches myself, but I’ve never had one with salmon (should probably give it a try)!

    • It was quite fancy! I didn’t get to try afternoon tea in London this summer, but that’ll be on my London bucketlist for next time. I love salmon, so yeah, I’d highly recommend 🙂
